These wind deflectors are a must buy when dressing out your Tenere. It took longer to open the box and wrapping than the install. Well it was close anyway. My only gripe is the plastic screws it came with. Cheap and has a weird philips head pattern. But very secure and stripped. They added 10-15 MPH before buffeting occurs. So running at 70MPH I started to get buffeting with my dual sport helmet with a beak. I'm 5'11" 30" inseam, Wind shield in high position.Read All Reviews

This was installed on my bike by the PO, so I can't comment on the installation process. However, as someone who used it for a while, I can say that I like the way my bike rides much better without it than with it. There was definitely a large pocket of calm air behind the windshield, but the buffeting where the air hit my helmet was just too much for me to live with on the highway every day. Because this bolts directly to your number plate, it's only as stable and sturdy as the that mounting surface. Because the DR650 number plate is only held on by three bolts on the bottom half of it, wind hitting the shield was constantly making it deflect and change positions/angles. This meant that where the air was hitting me was constantly shifting as I rode down the highway. If your bike has a sturdier place to mount this windshield, this may work better for you than it did for me.Read All Reviews
