I ordered this tire late Monday evening and it was on my doorstep Thursday. Excellent and speedy service from Jake Wilson. I'm going ahead and writing the review on the tire now because I have used the Avon Venoms before. They get a little better than average wear mileage, but I buy them because the tread pattern is nearly unaffected by rain grooves and metal bridge gratings. The Venoms are also a great traction tire for both wet and dry pavement. They produce a lot more confidence in harsh weather and sharp turns than the OEM tires.

this tire is a real show stoper.it works well (as sold)on the front of the machine ( mine is a 1971 full dress electra glide flh),this tire wears out really fast on the rear of the bike, the rubber is to soft for the rear wheel drive. Does Avon make a rear tire with the WWW to complent the front wheel,i don,t know.all in all still a real show stoper, enjoy.

I have a big bike. VN 2000 800#s dry. so much tourqe she eats rear tires like mad. the bridgestones she came with went away pretty fast. so I went to a High mileage metzler 880 me.. that was almost as bad, with odd wear patterns and poor customer service. This avon tire has lasted longer, handles better than any other tire I've had on her. went through 2 rear metzlers a year.... 1 avon... Mr.D Additional Comments On Apr 18, 2011:had other wear issues with ther front tire from as bad install of the rear ( misaligned) bike shop and metzler said they'd make it good, I only assumed the ment for me.....hands better wears better what more can I say? Reading testiments on a Kawasaki forum last year I decided to put the Cobras on my Vulcan 2000. First of all you must understand that the Vulcan 2000 is known for eating rear tires, usually within 6,000-8,000 miles. I installed the Cobra and it has given me 12,000 very satisfied miles. Right off the bat I was impressed with how the bike cornered in comparison to the Bridgestones that were on it. After 12,000 I am close to the wear indicator and still cornering amazingly. What's really nice about the Cobras is that they don't wonder with a grooved road. With all of the road construction going on currently it nice to select my own path instead off being thrown where ever the road pitches me.
