I put the Shinko 005 Advance front tire on my Ducati Monster as a replacement for Bridgestone BT021's. I wanted a inexpensive front tire to hold me over, since my front BT021 wore out way before the rear. I've been more than happy.... handling and grip is as good as Bridgstones. I balanced it with Dyna Beads and the ride quality is smooth as silk. So far, they're wearing better than the Bridgestones... 4k miles and they still look like new - nice even wear, no cupping. GREAT BUY! I've just ordered a new Shinko rear tire.

I put the Shinko Verge on the front of my 2001 Kawasaki Concours. From day 1, I had no complaints. Tire performed as it ought to perform. No slipping, no OMG moments. It stuck to the road (with my moderately conservative riding style) and was perfect for me. I figure, if it wore down quickly, it would still be worth it at the price point. Last night after I got home, I started wondering if it was time to replace. Couldn't remember when I'd put it on, but it certainly couldn't have been THAT long. Checked my records....Over 16,000 miles. I'm over 300 lbs. and to have a tire last that long is fantastic. I'll be getting another one to put on very soon.
