Pretty disappointed.
Though these mid-layers are warm and the Velcro adjustments make sizing the waist a breeze, I was very disappointed that the waist only fastens with a simple snap that can come undone fairly easily while sitting. Also, there are no belt loops for wearing a belt, should you decide to do so. Basically, you're just relying upon a rather weak snap to keep the pants secure. I'm a big fan of Klim and have bought quite a few of their products as they've always seemed really well thought out. I have to say they failed on this one.

Six Six One Sub Shorts

Great shorts
Really like the Six Six One shorts. More monkey butt protection would be nice but I have no real complaints. Good padding, comfy waistband, legs don't ride up and size chart is spot on even for a guy with chicken legs like me! So far so good!

I had ordered and returned the MSR shorts before purchaseing these. The MSR waist band was not very comfortable. I have a sit down style of riding and I will say that the chamois makes for good end of the day. The waste band is wide and comfortable. They are a little lower on my waste than my normal shorts but not a problem. The pads do not cover the top of my hip bone, but I doubt that any of these type of shorts will. Sizing was true to my other shorts.
