Avon dual sport motorcycle tires in multiple sizes with the best prices.

I have been through several sets of Distanzia's on my R12GS, my typical style is 90% on-road, highway speed, long distance touring, the Avon's are particularly grippy in the twisty's, quiet and last a fair amount of miles. Some have complained about wet road behavior but I have not had an issue in the rain with these tires. These tires perform well on hard dirt fire roads but are a handful in loose dirt, mud, sand and gravel on the big GS. 7-8K miles on the rears and about 10K out of the front tires is typical for me, however the fronts will wear fast and unevenly if you let the pressure fall below 40psi, these tires like a little more air pressure on the road than most others. I would rank their street handling characteristics as on-par with many quality street only tires.

I put this tire on my 1993 DR350S after burning up several dual sport tires that were more aimed to dirt riding. I have a few MX bikes, so I gave up on the dual sport part of this bike and made it more Supermotard to have better street manners. After riding a whole season on the tires, it show very little wear. The Distanzia grips well on my light machine and handles very well! I don't do much rain riding, so it's not fair to make any comments on that. I would recommend this tire to anyone looking to put a street tire on a dual purpose bike - the difference in the curves will amaze you!

I got this tire for my KLR650 because that's what everybody was saying handled the best and got the best mileage. I have gotten better mileage out of much cheaper tires under all the same conditions. The cheaper tires also handle and grip the same if not better than the Avon. I have run just about every tire out there for a KLR. It is not worth the price. I will never buy again. I will go back to Kenda 761s, Shinko 705, or try one of the few tires I have not yet tried.
