  The plate itself is fine. But thats about it. The mounting clamps dont sit flush with the plate and my screw heads are not flat against the plate and are at an angle. One of the Allen head bolts stripped very easy. Have to get a new one. Ive never in my life stripped an Allen head bolt.

  Yamaha Super Tenere skid plate

  I received my skid plate for my Super Tenere today and I was very pleased with the quality. The instructions were great, and it bolted up without any issues. It offers much better protection than the plastic one that comes on the bike. As usual, my order arrived in just two days. That's why I go to Rocky Mountain for all my motorcycle parts. I've ordered tons of stuff from you guys and you have never messed up an order. You are awesome!

  SW-MOTECH Crash Bars/Engine Guards

  Good bars, DONT FIT WITH RICOCHET SKID PLATE!!!

  I bought these and they're fantastic. Then going off this website's recommendation I bought the Ricochet skid plate, which is listed at "fits with". I had to cut off 2/3 of the side ears on the skid plate to get it to fit. SW Motech does a nice set of bars, Rocky Mountain ATV needs to pull their head out and fix the "fits with" recommendations. The plate is nowhere near able to fit, I even took the bars completely off and installed the plate then attempted to reinstall the bars. I haven't laid down the KLR since I bought the bars... so I can't vouch for their crashability, but its only a matter of time and cheap insurance.
