Though these mid-layers are warm and the Velcro adjustments make sizing the waist a breeze, I was very disappointed that the waist only fastens with a simple snap that can come undone fairly easily while sitting. Also, there are no belt loops for wearing a belt, should you decide to do so. Basically, you're just relying upon a rather weak snap to keep the pants secure. I'm a big fan of Klim and have bought quite a few of their products as they've always seemed really well thought out. I have to say they failed on this one.

I wore a new pair of the MSR shorts for the first time this past weekend on a two-day dirt bike offroad event, for a total of 9 hours in the saddle. I did NOT have any lost skin due to abrasion (monkey butt). These shorts worked out very well, much much better than other shorts that are more designed for bicycling that have the padding under the crotch.

I really like em! Combined with my black long sleeve compression shirt my wife asked if I was that bad spiderman. Seriously though they are really nice. Fit is good and they do not fall/slide during the ride. Be careful when pulling them on or pulling them up a little more. They are form-fitting and if they are tight you could pull them apart. I grabbed mine to hike them up a little more when testing them and it felt as if they were going to rip so I stopped. My wife says kinda like a woman's pantyhose when they run. The hip pads and the crotch pad were not-at-all noticeable while riding. Overall I am quite pleased with this purchase.

If I were to wear this shirt in actual hot weather I would go to that hospital with a heat stroke after three laps. I've only had the opportunity to wear this on cool or cold dry days and It made me sweat like crazy. It's bearable without a jersey. They should just call this thing a" Hot" shirt.
